The Goal

Create a set of workbooks that would serve as an affordable alternative to after school programs that would help children develop self-confidence and become independent learners as they master new skills.

The Process

The biggest task in creating these workbooks was being able to work with a Curriculum Development Team, given certain restrictions and rules pertaining to the Common Core Curriculum, and still having a product that was attractive to the target audience.

Incorporating an interactive aspect with workbook-to-tablet connectivity was key in engaging interest. The use of bright colors and fun characters that varies dependent on subject matter and grade level was also helpful in keeping consistency throughout the collection.

These workbooks debuted at the International Consumer Electronics show in January 2015.
